A sharp, textbook crystal of spessartine, not your usual Pakistani one but an uncommon one from Madagascar. It is perched on a perfectly-trimmed natural "base" of matrix. The crystal itself measures 1.4 cm. It is shown here under natural light, but under strong light you can see flashes of red - it is actually a deep red all through. Ex.
