A fascinating AND pretty copper-mineral combo from Congo. On the side of a shallow pocket, on a layer of shiny smoky quartz crystals, is a cluster of superb dioptase crystals (the long one measures 1.8 cm) in the form of a cross. The isolation of this cluster makes it really jump out at you - MUCH more so than in the photos! Nearby are patches of rare shattuckite (Copper Silicate Hydroxide), with turquoise-blue color.
