This garnet photo speaks for itself. The color and gemminess are breathtaking, tops for the find, and comparable to the best of old Italy material. The sharpness of this crystal is as if carved. It is one of the finest, sharpest single crystals on matrix I have seen! It is featured on the 1991 Mineralogical Record Cover for May/June 2010. Not only is it a cover piece, but it is a cover piece on the relevant theme issue entitled "Madagascar," with the best articles and report yet published on this amazing find.
