Ullmanite is a rare nickel, antimony sulfide that forms in the isometric system. This specimen of solid ullmannite is from the Type Locality in Germany and is embedded with highly lustrous, metallic-gray, platy crystals that reach .6 cm across. This is rich and incredibly important example from this classic locality. Ullmanite, in good crystals, occurs very rarely. This old-time specimen is accompanied by three labels. Julius Bohm, one of the most important of the early Viennese mineral dealers, opened for business in 1884. His label with the piece dates from 1925-38.
