A stunning example of what many people call "grape jelly fluorites" situated within massive quartz matrix. Unlike most such pieces, the fluorite AND the quartz is crystallized here. Usually, the quartz is dissolved away with acid to reveal the fluorite, but this specimen is only cleaned, not etched out, and the quartz is minutely crystallized and natural. The contrast is STRIKING. This is one of the very best I have seen in recent years, and is much more vibrant and alive in person than photos can make it appear because of how light goes into the depth of the crystals.
