An antique, old-timer from a very uncommon Michigan iron mine locality, the Spurr Mine near Michigamme. Two, sharp, euhedral and lustrous chlorite crystals pseudomorphing almandine garnet crystals to 1.7 cm rest on a schist matrix. The old Wards label says aphrosiderite, which is an un-approved member of the chlorite group. Excellent, rare old material from the Richard Hauck Collection. 9.6 x 6.0 x 4.8 cm
