Azurite from Tsumeb in the early 1900s era, is highly desired but seldom can you buy a good display sized matrix piece. They were always rare, even in the heyday. Highly lustrous, rich navy blue azurite crystals, to 1.8 cm in length, are nestled in a shallow vug in massive tan smithsonite. At the top of the specimen, two bundles of azurite have formed a lovely wheatsheaf effect. It was formerly in the collection of Bill Larson (he says it came out of a previous old collection), then traded to Sielecki. We believe it to be from the early 1900s. A fine display specimen for any collection.
