Two generations of lustrous, light and dark green pyromorphite barrels to 3 mm richly cover two sides of the sculptural, sturdy gossan matrix on this very rich, old-time specimen from the historic Wheatley Mine. The mine was started in 1851 and closed in the 1860s during the Civil War. Truly old-time material. This is a very rich and highly representative example of the species and locale. Ex. Wes Parker Collection.
