These exceptional and uniquely colorful silver species specimens were collected in 1977 by Joe Weinholtzner at the remote Husky Mine, and were stored for decades before being released. The thin plates that compose this compound crystal have a gorgeous purple/blue/red iridescence, which sets them off from other worldwide localities for these species (both the Polybasite and Stephanite from here have this coloration). The mine is defunct and, despite attempts, no more have been found here in 30 years now. As a result, Polybasite crystals are very scarce and always in demand. The color is spectacular: an iridescent, metallic mix of hues that is much more obvious in person than the pictures indicate.
