This is a gorgeous, very glassy, deep red tourmaline crystal in its own right. However, more than that, it is a unsique specimen as it features wonderful, translucent-to-transparent lustrous brown crystals of Stibiotantalite literally perched ATOP the termination! The piece is striking for gemoetry and color contrast aside from the rarity. Stibiotantalite is only rarely associated directly with tourmalines, and this is one of the most dramatic examples of the association I have seen from anywhere. Stibiotantalite is particularly rare from the Himalaya, moreover.
