The recent discovery of these highly etched but completely terminated spessartine garnets created quite a stir, and you can see why. The sculptural aesthetics, luster and clarity are superb, which are complemented by the lovely wine-red color. This is an excellent example of this recent find. It is even better in person. The stepped patterns on this particular piece are amazing. Weighs 87 grams.
