These contemporary Ethiopian amazonites are comparable to the classics from Colorado in just about every way. The color of the best ones is an intense turquoise blue. This big crystal is lustrous and is nicely accented with smoky quartz crystals on the top. It is sharp and the striations really highlight the crystal faces. This is a large and highly representative specimen of the species and locale. Additionally, it is a huge Manebach Twin, and the largest such I have personally seen from the new Ethiopian finds at this point.
