Cornetite is a rare, hydrated copper phosphate. This very showy, vuggy specimen is very richly covered with scintillating, vivid blue cornetite micro-botryoids and is nicely accented with malachite on a gossan matrix. A striking and beautiful specimen. This fine piece is from the Type Locality - the L'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of Congo). Ex. John Sobolewski Collection.
