An unusually gemmy Malchan tourmaline! The top 2/3 of this elbaite crystal are a typical rubellite color while the bottom third is a greenish yellow color. At the separation, there is an internal fracture, but not a repair. The luster is matte but with a good translucence. The mass is 58 grams.
