Partially glassy and gemmy, this light champagne-colored crystal measures 4.8 cm in length. This is an excellent example of the large Phenakite crystals which briefly came out of Madagascar in the late 1990s. It was formerly in the collection of Don Belsher, and is a major example for the locality and the species for its size and crystal habit. It is complete all around. I would value the crystal highly. They are seldom seen today!
