Cerussite
This specimen has a rich smoky color to it, excellent glassy luster, and really displays with pizzazz! Larger reticulated cerussites of this style rarely survive intact from the mine, and from handling for so long, because of the thick faces and edges which are so sensitive to being banged around in drawers. This one IS in fact remarkably pristine, near-perfect in fact, with just a small break on one minor rear-facing crystal spoke to the right of the major cluster but otherwise perfect all around (even at the very base!). This is a superb Tsumeb cerussite, history aside. But, the label is pretty neat as well (note the sale price of "1 gold mark" in 1926!).
