Berg Aukas has produced the world's finest Descloizite specimens and this is an excellent, sturdy plate, consisting of one large, radiating cluster and numerous single spears. It is an old style, seldom seen today on the market. The crystals are an attractive metallic grey, with hints of the expected brown showing here and there on the terminations. The Descloizite spear-points are very well defined, and from the side of the cluster you can see the branching pattern of the crystals. The main cluster is 7 cm across, and the individual stacked crystals are up to 3.5 cm tall. This exceptionally large specimen is nearly pristine. This fine piece is a highly representative example of the species and locality, which closed in 1978.
