Vanadinite is common but even among the quantity, some stand out - and this is a jewel of a specimen with brightness and sparkle. It has the best color and luster, and a nice 3-dimensional display, accented by the white baryte matrix beneath. It is just special in a world where there are thousands of small vanadinites, which is why our artist friend bought this at first sight and kept it so long. Large crystals are to 1.2 cm in size, and it is pristine. The sparkle and beauty and 3-dimensionality are hard to convey in photos. It is the perfect thumbnail! Includes original watercolor painting by Gamini Ratnavira, as shown in 6x6 inch custom frame (he used to do commission paintings for mineral collectors in Southern California primarily, and charged $500-750 per painting).
