Superb example of the classic "Kidney Ore" Hematite from the old iron district that helped found the Industrial Revolution, specifically the Beckermet Mine, Egremont, England. The color is a wonderful silvery brick-red, with dazzling luster. The base is richly coated with sparkly micro crystals of Specularite. Highly desirable, with out of this world aesthetics! The pics do the talking. This is from the noted collection of Ralph Sutcliffe, 1977.
