A stunning, brilliantly lustrous azurite specimen which came out right at the beginning of the pocket which produced this style in November of 2013. We widely refer to this pocket as the "floater pocket" or "elegant pocket" because of the aesthetics of these interconnected, sharp azurite crystals, which are totally unique in all the world. This piece, like most from the pocket, has a bright luster and wonderful intense blue color. However, it seems even more intense, perhaps by just 10 percent or so, when held side by side with others. It is pristine, and complete all around (a floater). It is, to my mind, quite simply one of the world's great azurite specimens. I obtained it shortly after it was mined and put it away. To me, this is one of the iconic azurites of the modern era. Price on Request. Joe Budd photos.
