Classic for the famous Yaogangxian Mine, this specimen features a prominent, sharp, totally gem, purple-blue fluorite crystal to 2.5 cm across with another intergrown crystal at the base and off to one side of the same quality. These lustrous, transparent fluorites have a riveting, and prominent, deep purple rim along with a dark purple cubic phantom at the core which makes this specimen really stand out from all of the Yaogangxian pieces out there. Pristine and transparent, it is an exceptional piece, and is frankly much better in person as the luster, gemminess and zoning together are hard to photograph. Excellent fluorescence. This is an extremely aesthetic specimen that comes with its own custom engraved acrylic base. Many say that the Yaogangxian is the best fluorite mine on the planet and pieces like this explain why! However, production has really diminished in the last 5 years, and is expected to remain at a low level compared to the past. This is a special miniature, with sharp contrasts and style, from 2018 finds.
