Some excellent Baryte specimens have originated from Stoneham, Colorado, and this is one of them from a particular classic find and style. This attractive cabinet piece was mined in July 1989 from the Leeson Pocket and displays perfect balance and composition between the blue Baryte cluster and the tan, finely crystalline Calcite matrix. The larger Baryte crystals are in parallel growth, reach 6.7cm in length, and display excellent luster with blunt, chisel-point terminations. A single Baryte penetrates the cluster near the top for added effect and another small Baryte lays across the Calcite. Many of these Barytes have "decent" luster; however, this one is an exception with its VERY uncommonly lustrous faces! Dramatic USA classic!
