The recent new find of Chinese scorodites caused quite a stir and was the first new worldwide find in many years. Lustrous, indigo-blue to purple scorodite crystals are richly scattered on the massive pyrite matrix on this fine piece. Many of the crystals are partially coated with iron oxides. The large flat-lying crystal is 1.8 x 1.4 cm. Highly representative and rich for the species and locale.
