An impressive, glassy, polychrome Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the renown gem pegmatites of Paprok, Afghanistan: This stout, striated crystal with other slender Elbaite Tourmaline crystals in parallel to subparallel growth starts with magenta pink at the base and transitions to a pastel pink zone, then a 4 to 5mm medium green zone, a 4 to 5mm yellow-green zone, a thicker blue-green zone and then a very thin what appears to purplish green layer at the termination! Superb luster and a flaring termination give it a larger presence on a shelf than the size might otherwise indicate. There is also a trace of tiny white Albite crystals on either side for accent. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
