In person, this superb Mexican grossular on matrix is even redder and less pink - which is uncommon for these, as the closer they get to red, the more uncommon and desirable they are. This large crystal measures 1.5 cm across, and is TRANSLUCENT rather than opaque and light in color, as most of these are.
