This specimen of stark jet black smoky quartz, with a natural pedestal accent of the brightest blue amazonite, is from some of the earlier finds by the Dorris family at the famous Smoky Hawk claim. It sits smartly, stands on its own, and is complete 360-degrees. It has just enough accent of blue at the base to be dramatic, and presents very elegantly. The larger quartz seems to have a slight curve to it. No damage of note, and 2 clean repairs (no restorations). Originally sold by the Dorrises to a local collector (Jeff Kremer), and long in his collection. This is a little less than the cost he paid for it, many years ago, as a result of a trade to me and pricing to move...
