A HIGHLY UNUSUAL and showy pseudomorph from the San Diego County pegmatites of a lustrous and silvery, 6.5 cm, muscovite pseudo after a tourmaline crystal from the less well-known Pat Rat Mine. The pseudo is nicely set in albite matrix and accented with orangey-red spessartine garnets. This RARE piece is from the collection of Chuck Houser, a well-known San Diego County collector. Self-collected by Chuck during late 80's/early 90's while the mine was owned and worked by Fred Stevens.
