This is a very large, complete crystal of corundum (ruby), with perfect hexagonal form. That tiered look you see on one side is not damage - it is natural. Ex. C. H. Pennypacker collection (late 1800s). This superb crystal has the deep maroon color that is typical for these Indian specimens. Now, if it were only GEMMY.
