This is one large corundum var. ruby, weighing just over one pound. It is a complete, doubly-terminated floater with good luster and superb, saturated color of pigeon's blood red. The hexagonal form is well-developed but elegant for such a large beast, in that it tapers gently from the center to the terminations. The crystal IS a complete floater, in tact all around even on the terminations. There have been literally thousands of these available over the years but few as large or as good as this one. 9.4 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm
