This unusual rhodo specimen really stands out from a crowd for its shocking lack of normal crystalline symmetry, and yet it is still "geometrically" sculptural and appealing in that it is formed of such perfectly round spheres. This is a rare habit, from the early 1980s, and it is of a style that is quite desirable for this reason, to complement the relatively more common scalenohedral forms. This is the best example of the habit that I have seen for sale in recent years. It is complete 360 degrees around the display face, above and below. The back is simply manganese matrix, some of which peeks out form behind the rhodo balls. 6 x 4 x 3.25 cm
