Sharp and geometric, this choice Scheelite and Fluorite combination is from the lesser known Scheelite locality of Xianghuapu (it produced TONNAGE of fluorite but only a handful of scheelites, and to this day few people have seen and held them as they are rare in context). However, lesser known does not mean lesser quality, as this translucent to gemmy is super sharp and attractive. This tan-brown Scheelite is an impressive 3.9 cm, has very good luster, and, of course, great fluorescence. The gemmy, clear Fluorites have beveled edges and very good fluorescence, as well. There is some contacting around the periphery, as expected, but the aesthetics of this combination are quite good. A rare specimen from early days of China mineral collecting, probably the late 1990s or early 2000s.
