A knobby ridge of matrix completely covered with gemmy, superb barytes. These finds at the Meikle gold mine (an epithermal gold deposit) are generally recognized to be amongst the most aesthetic barytes every found. At their best, they have an amazing golden clarity, and here, none of the internal fracturing you normally see.
