SUPERB, twinned crystal of Rutile from Vitoria da Conquista, in Bahia. As good as the pics are, rest assured that the striations, luster and metallic red iridescence are ten times better in person. One of the most aesthetic and interesting Rutiles I have seen, and the overall form makes it look like it would fit right in with New York's Art Deco architecture. Just a killer miniature. Interestingly, this was considered one of the key specimens in the collection as documented by Rock Currier in 1973, and later posted to MINDAT from one of his old slides.
