Ed Swoboda is well-known for having assembled an amazing collection of unique and unusual pseudomorphs. Here is a striking example. A dramatic, nearly pristine, stellate cluster of lustrous, brassy arsenopyrite after tapered pyrrhotite crystals is superbly perched on a bed of intergrown pseudomorphs. The large, horizontal crystal on the side of the piece is 4.5 cm. This unique specimen is from the famed mines at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. These are classic old specimens mined in the 1960s and 1970s, seldom seen today. And, this is one of the more aesthetic examples. Ex. Ed Swoboda Collection.
