An exceptionally rich, sparkling, teal-blue, botryoidal druse of wavellite on novaculite matrix from Arkansas. The wavellite consists of a multitude of slightly translucent, 3 to 6 mm, glistening, botryoidal hemispheres that totally cover the display face of this remarkable piece. The dark teal blue color of the wavellite sets it apart from the early and classic finds of the typical green wavellite as this vivid teal color really stands out on display and is off the charts! A custom engraved acrylic base is included. This is from a small modern mining project run by James Zigras, with a very expensive rented backhoe in difficult access to the old workings, in about 2014. It is one of the better specimens of the "blues" recovered.
