A DRAMATIC, old-time Himalaya Mine specimen of gemmy and lustrous, pink and green tourmalines with matte-black terminations attractively set in a glassy, translucent, DOUBLY TERMINATED smoky quartz crystal! A couple of snow-white cleavelandite blades are a nice accent. The large tourmaline is 4.5 cm. This is a fine old-timer from the Ralph Potter era of the 1950s or 60s predating modern exploration here. Very beautiful piece illustrating the complexity of how these occur in nature. Ex. George Elling Collection.
