Jeremejevite is a rare borate mineral, and the Erongo Region in Namibia has produced the finest crystals of the species known. This exceptionally attractive specimen is super gemmy, sharp, well-terminated, and lustrous crystal. The powder-blue color, with just a hint of violet, is gorgeous, especially when enhanced by the gemminess. The locality is a pegmatite directly on the beach in Namibia, (see this link for a photo: http://www.mindat.org/photo-129179.html), and has produced very little in the way of Jeremejevite since one spectacular world's best pocket back around 1980 (https://www.mindat.org/loc-5688.html). This aesthetic Jeremejervite is a large and very fine crystal for the species. Better in person, even. It is quite different in termination and sparkle, compared to modern material from teh Erongo Mountains, a different locality. In person, you can see the difference and pieces like this will remain distinct and uniquely valued by collectors.
