2.3 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm (Specimen); 1.65 carats; 7.13 mm x 6.66 mm (Gem) - A beautiful matched bicolor rough and cut set of Sapphire from Sri Lanka (the crystal is from Balangoda and the gem is from Nivit). Sure, gem Sapphires are abundant from Sri Lanka, but how often does one encounter an evenly matched BICOLOR set with the same coloration? The crystal on its own would be a great acquisition as it has sharp, lustrous faces with beautiful blue "tips" on each end of the doubly-termianted prism along with wonderful internal soft yellow gemminess in the center. The matching "Step Trillion" cut gem has similar coloration, and neither the crystal nor the gem has been treated in any way. A really special and hard to find set for any collector.
