A fine and thick hematite crystal from the agnesite mine of Brumado. Typcially hematite crystals are thin, tabular blades and not anywhere nearly as hearty as this crystal. It shows wonderful hexagonal form with beautifully bright, metallic, gun-metal luster and for a final touch, there are some excellent negative or "skeletal" faces on the piece as well. Some associated white/color magnesite confirms that this piece is from Brumado. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
