Zeolites and associated mineral species abound in the thick, basaltic, traprocks of India. But it is still exciting to see well formed minerals in combination from these deposits, and I buy special pieces when something is really unique such as the form and intense color of this apophyllite. In this natural basaltic vug we have a well formed, lustrous, translucent, emerald green fluorapophyllite crystal, 2.5 cm in length, surrounded by lustrous, cream colored heulandite crystals which reach 2 cm in length.
