Beautiful, brilliant, gemmy, dark cherry-red hessonite crystals to 6 mm are richly scattered on the matrix plate covered with books of silvery-green, partially gemmy clinochlore lamellae on this fine specimen from a classic Italian locale - Carboneri in the Pellice Valley.
