Topazolite is a rare variety of gem andradite garnet with the color and transparency of topaz. This superb specimen, from the Bill Larson Collection, features very gemmy and lustrous, golden-yellow crystals to 7 mm aesthetically set in a well-placed, elongate vug lined with sparkly clinochlore microcrystals. This striking specimen is from the November, 1998 find at the Yellow Cat Mine, San Benito County, California.
