Lazurite (Lapis) Pseudomorphing After Muscovite
An excellent and unusually sharp example of muscovite caught in the process of altering to the "royal stone," Lazurite (known mixed in rocks as lapis lazuli to the ancients). These came out in some quantity, briefly, about 6-7 years ago and I have seen only a handful of specimens since. This piece, although small, is sharp and attractive, plus it sufficiently demonstrates the strange replacement, and I therefore value it quite highly in interest rating.
