Tourmaline
An old Himalaya Mine tourmaline with shocking deep color (which changes depending on the lighting source), from the personal collection of mine owner Bill Larson, who collected this in the 1980s. The specimen is really elegant in that it shows both a curvature and a multi-tiered and complex termination atop. It is a floater, complete all around. There are many Himalayas in this size, but it is a special one! Complete all around. No damage. Good enough for the mine owner to keep for nearly 40 years...! Please do note that the photos show color in several different light sources, from halogen to LED, showing the amazing response of the pink color agents to different wavelengths of light.
