One does not often think of the USA as a stunning locality for Analcime crystals, but here we have a single large specimen I obtained in an old collection, which changes that opinion! The crystals are a gorgeous saturated, lustrous, white that I can only describe as being like fine porcelain in color and texture, covering a nicely trimmed matrix plate. The original specimen was nearly 8 inches across, with damage in the middle. Trimming resulted in two fine display-sized specimens, presented here for the first time. I have never seen this quality for sale, from Oregon. Michigan has produced a very few fine specimens from the copper mines, but those are few, and generally smaller. I think this is actually a rather significant USA specimen.
