These dramatic Chalcopyrite-Chalcocite-Djurleite specimens were acquired by us in China in 2012 and 2013 and represent some of the most noted mineral discoveries in China at that time! These colorful, mounded, bubbly conglomerations are complex overgrowths and intergrowths of Djurleite and Chalcocite usually at the core of the clusters coated with Chalcopyrite. This mineralogical menagerie along with its mesmerizing iridescent blue and purple hues culminates in these artistic, very sculptural and almost ornamental pieces that are some of the most intriguing and beautiful mineralogical oddities found! A stunning small cabinet piece!
