Lustrous, white tremolite blades richly invest the striking elongate vug and are also part of the serpentine matrix on this excellent cabinet specimen from a classic Austrian locale - Totenkopf Mt. The tremolite and serpentine column is a highlight. There are vugs of tremolite on both sides of this seldom available material from the Rolf Wein Collection, a noted Alpine collector. The piece dates to 1979 and his number is 8452.
