A remarkable Rose Quartz specimen from one of the prominent localities in Brazil that produces these classic, blush pink crystals. This piece is very unique in that it has a milky Quartz crystal as a stem with a "blossom" of Rose Quartz crystals at its top. The milky Quartz crystal measures about 1 cm across and is slightly etched resulting in a satin luster and there is a 1 cm cluster of tiny, white Albite crystals that covers most of two prism faces. The Rose Quartz cluster at the apex of this exquisite miniature consists of several dozen, saturated, but delicate pink, translucent crystals that radiate from the center with only their pointed terminations showing. The cluster measures approximately 2.5 cm across and the Rose Quartz points just scintillate with any ambient light. A unique aesthetic association of Quartz with Quartz, and it looks a lot like a scoop of pink ice cream on a cone! Illustrated in Mineral Collections of Brazil, 2020, page 122.
