This heart-shaped twin of sapphire is truly spectacular, much better in person than on the web. This type of twinning is extremely rare in corundum. The luster, transparency, and pastel blue color are enhanced by the definitive twinning plane and the directional change of the striations on either side. The very minor chipping on one termination does not affect the beauty and rarity of this specimen. TRULY a unique specimen in many ways, for the gem collector!
