A really fine jewel of a titanite (sphene) twin, 2.7 cm across, perched smartly on the perfect pedestal of matrix. While we have seen many "small titanites" from here that are thumbnail-sized, this is a level above those due to the fine composition and placement, perfection, luster, and color. It is a full-sized thumbnail, dramatic and imposing in person. Complete all around 360 degrees, and of a higher level of play than most, making it worthy of competitive-level exhibitions. It has just the right amount of matrix, and balance, to display that perfect twin. Shown on the front cover of Shields Flynn's self-published book on his collection of 1800 pieces.
